Matt Sizemore - Vice President

I’ve been a member of LCC since 2021.  I am a proud father of 2 daughters (Matilyn 17 years old and Laryn 11 years old) and husband to Julie for 18 years.

My family and I love racing or almost anything with an engine in it.  I got a three-wheeler for my 3rd birthday and started racing motocross that same year for over 20 years.  Once I got married and had our first child, I decided to step away from the dangers of motocross and have been into cars and motorcycles since without losing that addiction to speed.

We are originally from southern Indiana and love our family tradition of attending the Indy 500 every year.  We also like to travel, and we are really into our music and love attending and traveling to concerts of all kinds.

Outside of spending time with my family, I enjoy putting smiles on people’s faces.  I also enjoy being a part of our great club and sharing the passion we all have for our cars and community.

Mary Jo Kooiker - Secretary

We’ve been members of Lakeshore Corvette Club since 2021. My husband Don and I have been married for 40 years. We have two daughters. Callie is married and lives in Chicago. She is a Vice President for Capital One. Cassie lives in California and has a PhD in neuroscience and a MD in Psychiatry. I was a special education teacher and administrator for Holland Public Schools before I retired.

My hobbies include baking, reading and travel. I have visited many countries including Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, Sierra Leon, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Belize and the Bahamas. I enjoy baking just about anything sweet. I am always looking for a reason to bake.

I've always enjoyed sports cars. Before I was married, I owned a Mazda RX7 and a Firebird. Once the girls were out of the house, I bought a Camaro, and now own a Supra. The Corvette is my husband's car. I've actually never driven it. Retirement gives us more time to enjoy the LCC events. My favorite trips have been to Wisconsin and Indiana. My favorite part of LCC is all the wonderful people I have met. I have made several new friends thanks to the club. This is my first time as a board member. I started in the middle of the year when the Secretary position became open.

Greg Evans - Treasurer

I've been a member of Lakeshore Corvette Club since 2018. I've always loved sports cars, and bought my first Corvette in 1977. I've owned a C2, C3, and two C7's. Wendy and I love taking trips in the Corvette, whether it's a long weekend or a week long trip. I love the spirited driving with a group of Corvettes, and Wendy loves finding waterfalls, covered bridges, and shopping along the way. An ice cream stop is always welcome!

Wendy and I met as students at WMU. While we are both from Michigan, we moved to San Antonio, TX for 21 years after college. We lived in Hudsonville after moving back to Michigan, but retired to a house on the lake in Three Rivers in 2020.

When we are not taking trips with the Corvette, we are usually planning our next trip to visit our kids. Our youngest is nearby in Portage, but we also have a son in Quebec and a daughter in Alabama. We have two beautiful granddaughters, also in Quebec and Alabama.

Diane Wollner - Membership Director

My husband and I have been members of the club since 10/22. We have a blue C5 2004 Corvette. This is our first Corvette and we are really enjoying it. We both drive it and love taking out on trips and drives. We never thought a car would bring us to this place in the LCC with friends and family. We have had many other cars, some classics and  just ones that are fun to drive.

We have lived in Holland since we were married in 1986. We have two kids, Ashley and Ben. Both of our kids live in Holland so we get to be with them often. Ashley is the mother of our two Grandkids, Miles (13) and Kylie (10).  They are both  involved in sports, so we have the opportunity to be a part of watching them develop their skills and cheer them on.

Ken and I both like camping, hiking, Kayaking, and being outside. We enjoy living in the woods and watching the birds and wildlife.

I'm looking forward to my time on this board. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Cal Havinga - Competition Director/Events Coordinator

Cheryl and I have been married for 45 years. We have 2 Children, our son Brad and wife Jaclyn and grandson Brooks who live in Pensacola Florida. Our daughter Jena and husband Mitch Cook along with our 2 grandchildren, Rhett and Sadie who live in Zeeland.

I have always enjoyed having a car I could work on. I really wanted a Corvette.  I looked at one in 1976 but it just did not work out at that time. The whole time, as we raised our family, I told Cheryl one day I would really like a Corvette. When I retired in 2020 I started looking for my Corvette, asked a lot of questions, trying to figure out what I could afford and what would be the right one for us. Cheryl said she would not like a convertible so I really liked the C6 Coupe. In September of 2021, I found my Corvette, a Black 2005 C6 Z51 Coupe. We both enjoy the car and spending time with other Corvettes on road trips and the friendships we have made in the Lakeshore Corvette Club.

Besides our Corvette, we enjoy Camping, Boating,  Silver Lake Sand Dunes with our Jeep, road trips across the US and spending the winter months in Florida.

I am looking forward to serving on the board of directors with the Lakeshore Corvette Club.

Marcy Postma - Relationship and Community Coordinator

Doug and I have been married for 38 years. We live in Zeeland with our two kids Thomas and Mia.

We enjoy camping, boating and hanging out with family and friends at our place that we call our second home, Lincoln Pines Resort in Gowen, Mi.

We have been members of the Lakeshore Corvette Club since 2023. We wanted to join this club from the first day we attended a meeting and cruise. Everyone is very welcoming, we have built some amazing relationships through this.

We drive a 2004 C5 Sebring Gray corvette. We enjoy many adventures with our corvette whether it’s heading to our summer home, just taking a ride on a nice day or cruising with the Lakeshore Corvette Club.

We look forward to a great year ahead. This is our second year serving on the board.

Dan Nienhuis - Website Administrator

My wife, Patti, and I have been married since 1987. We met where we both worked, at Haworth in Holland. We have two adult daughters, and now one granddaughter.

I've always been a bit of a "car guy" and always wanted to own a Corvette. I am fortunate enough to be married to someone who also "always wanted a Corvette." In 2005, we bought our first Corvette, a yellow 1995 Coupe. We had considered joining a club at the time, but my job kept me travelling for work and rarely home on a Tuesday. In 2013 we bought our current Corvette, a black 2013 coupe - the last year of the C6 series, and the 60th anniversary.

In July of 2022 I retired, freeing up my Tuesday evenings (and most other days and nights). That is when we joined the club.

We have made a few trips in the Corvettes over the years. Many of them within Michigan and a few trips with my brothers and their "toy cars" - including Corvettes, a Mustang, and a Viper. We have been to South Dakota, The Great Smoky Mountains, New York, Wisconsin, Bowling Green, and the Great River Road.

We enjoy the monthly meetings. The sight of all those Corvettes driving down a winding road is awesome! Catching up with a few friends and meeting new people is always a pleasure.
