Veterans Day is this week, Friday, so I will start this month’s letter with a thank you to all LCC Veterans and all Veterans everywhere for their service. Also, thanks to their families for their support and sacrifices.

I would first like to thank Gary and Joy for the cruise this month, and all the cruise leaders this past year. It was greatly appreciated that you took the time to map out Corvette friendly routes to our dinner destinations. The routes were all enjoyable and the food choices were very palatable.

President’s Letter –September

As fall is in full swing thoughts are changing from cruising to winter storage. We will all soon be tucking in our vettes for a long winters nap (hibernation). It comes every year (we have no power to change), but we will be anxiously awaiting the first spring cruise.

President’s Letter –August

Thank you Tom and Jackie Atwood for a very warm evening cruise. Our dinner destination, “The Trestle Stop” seemed better prepared and the service was great (the food was good also). Our guests for the night were Eric and Sally Cammenga. They were driving a beautiful C2 blue corvette.

It was a great night for the picnic! Good food, conversation and the weather even cooperated. Thanks Barb and Ed Schaap for volunteering and setting up the picnic.

The Scott Flahive cruise was also a success. In memory of a fallen officer, the memorial fund raises a lot of money for those going into law enforcement. They had more cars than anticipated this year (175) and some of our club members even won some raffle prizes. ….

It was a great turn out for the June 14th, 2016 LCC monthly meeting. We filled the room at the Main Street Pub. Guests included Riley Brinks and father (the scholarship recipient), Diane/Del Glass, Dave/Leann Money, and Michelle/Dan Lubbers. The 50/50 hit an all time high (at least in my memory) of $125, with the Atwood’s winning $63. Congratulations to Jackie and Tom, first time winners I believe!

It was a great turnout for such a drab evening for our second cruise of the season. Spectators provided good food, drink and a private room for our meeting.

Our rally was successful this past weekend and even the weather cooperated. We had sixteen cars with many being from our own club. Thanks to all the volunteers and participants. Read more……

It was a great turnout for our first cruise of the year. It was also good to see members returning from warmer climates for the summer and our newest members Michael & Lila Overbeek and Jack & Cheryl Caudill.

I will start by thanking Stacie and Brian Ehler for opening their home to the club in February. It was a great spring like day with some fantastic food. Alla Dickson (artist) brought out the artistic abilities in some of our club members, while Ed Schaap won the all-around marksmanship contest. It was a great change of pace to temporarily escape the winter blues. Read more…..
